Nettles Jewelry is a passionately green company offering nature-themed pendants and earrings for people who love birds, butterflies, and creatures of the forest and sea. Nettles Jewelry opened it's studio doors in 2007 and is now sold in select museums, national parks, art galleries, gift shops, bird centers, in the US and Canada.

Our original art and handmade components are just the right combination for buyers seeking charming bird, pet, butterfly and wild animal designs in natural colors, and reversible designs.  "Timeless nature jewelry- good for you, good for the planet."  Buyers will enjoy our classic collection, best sellers and new seasonal design releases.

  About the Artist

Company owner/designer, Alysse Hennessey, passionatly hopes to create jewelry that connects the wearer to the natural world.  Her work is influenced by hikes, bird songs, flea markets, world travel, and fueled by her own natural curiosity and a love of animals.  She creates her images in layers that include goodies like vintage animal paintings, old french lace, star charts, music sheets. 

Before Nettles, Alysse worked in costume design for the stage and screen and as head designer for an international charm bead company.  She invites you to become part of the Nettles Jewelry family.  

Alysse resides in a lush Oregon valley, with her two sons, where they are often spotted hiking with Jack the tiny dog, playing ukulele, baking treats, and snuggled up in front of the big window with her coffee. 

In 2015, she began exhibiting her paintings and has added a line of jewelry featuring her painted works.
